Mission is a way of being responsive to God in the world. It is larger and more encompassing than ministry. Every aspects of our life style; prayer, personal giftedness, community life, congregational resources as well as ministry contribute to our effectiveness in mission.
Our call to be prophetic leaders impels us to keep ourselves open to the realities of our world and allow them to disturb and challenge us and to give a prophetic response (G.C. Acts 2009, P.17).
Our Mission
Responding to the call of Jesus as prophetic leasers of today, bringing life and hope to all, we the Ursulines of Mary Immaculate follow the footsteps of our Foundress Blessed Brigida Morello, a mystic and prophet, who identified herself with Christ crucified. We remain faithful to the mission of Jesus and our Charism in the present day context of the world. A deeper experience of God in prayer beckons us to reach out to the less privileged, the economically deprived and socially backward groups. The exploited women and girls in particular remains our special concern in and through our various ministries. Thus we participate in the prophetic mission of Jesus through our dedicated and generous service irrespective of cast and creed.
We involve in various ministries like Education, Healing Ministry, Socio-Pastoral apostolate, running hostel for the poor children, taking care of the old and dying etc.
